Where this separation method fits

Decanter centrifuges separate phases by density difference. They are commonly considered for larger particles and higher solids loading than a disc stack separator. The feed and required outputs must be evaluated before choosing an arrangement.

Review the incoming material, pretreatment and downstream process together. A generic machine name does not establish the correct separation duty, number of phases or achievable product quality.

Define the result before choosing equipment

Describe both output streams: the desired liquid recovery and residual solids, and the intended condition and use of the separated solids. Define the sampling method and mass balance needed to assess a trial.

Compare samples taken under agreed conditions. Specify the product characteristics that must be preserved, as well as the material to be removed. A trial on one fruit or formulation does not establish the result for another.
