Brix balance estimates water removal before selecting an evaporator. The result helps discuss feed flow, target solids, steam demand and condensate load, but fouling and heat sensitivity still require product data.
Dilution calculations estimate how much water is added to concentrate. This affects blending tank size, mixing time, final Brix, acidity adjustment and downstream pasteurization load.
Blend calculations help estimate how much high-Brix and low-Brix material is required. They are useful for beverage base planning, but recipe solids, pulp, acid and flavor components must be checked separately.

No. The calculator gives a mass-balance estimate for early discussion only. Final equipment selection also needs viscosity, pH, pulp content, particle size, heat sensitivity, fouling behavior, packaging and utility conditions. Use the result to prepare an RFQ, then confirm evaporator, tanks, pumps and sterilizer with product samples or reliable process data.
Brix only measures soluble solids. A clear apple juice and a mango puree can have similar Brix but very different viscosity, fiber, particle load and heat-transfer behavior. That means the pump, evaporator, sterilizer and filler may be completely different. Always send product texture and particle requirements together with Brix.
Dilution is used when concentrate is reconstituted to juice, beverage base or recipe target. The calculation estimates water addition and final mass, but it does not account for acid, flavor, pulp, stabilizer or other formulation components. In a plant design, dilution also affects blending tank size, mixing method, hygienic transfer and pasteurization load.
Higher target Brix means more water removal, higher concentration ratio and often higher viscosity. This can increase steam demand, residence time, fouling risk and cleaning frequency. Low-temperature evaporation may be considered for aroma or color protection, while viscous products may need a different evaporator type than clear juice.
Send feed mass, initial Brix, target Brix, product type, viscosity, pulp or particle content, heat sensitivity, packaging format, expected operating hours and available steam, cooling water and power. If the result is for a future expansion or a new recipe, state that clearly so the quotation can allow room for process changes.
