Aseptic bulk processing lines

Plan the complete route for fruit juice, puree or concentrate supplied as a bulk ingredient. Define the incoming material, finished-product specification and package together so that preparation, thermal treatment, transfer and filling have a clear project boundary.

Define where the project begins and ends

A project starting with whole fruit needs a different front end from one receiving prepared puree or concentrate. Record which equipment already exists and which interfaces the new line must connect to. A bulk filler alone does not define the complete processing system.

Coordinate treatment, transfer and filling

Aseptic processing and packaging must be considered together. Tetra Pak's technical handbook describes the arrangement of treatment plants, aseptic tanks and filling machines as process-specific. Its dairy examples are general background, not thermal settings for fruit products.

Ask for a diagram identifying treatment, any required buffer, transfer connections, filling and cleaning boundaries. Define who reviews the product-specific process, who supplies each interface and what evidence is required before commercial production.

Supply a product brief before comparing quotations

Product and feed

Provide fruit type, incoming form, target solids, measured pH, viscosity with test conditions, and particle or fibre limits. Identify representative samples and any quality targets that need trial confirmation.

Output and package

State daily output, operating hours, product campaign sizes, proposed bag and fitment, fill quantity and storage conditions. Distinguish required net output from nominal equipment throughput.

Factory and interfaces

Include the site layout, available utilities, existing equipment and the supply boundary for controls, installation, commissioning and operator training. Mark unknown values as pending.

Agree how the complete line will be accepted

Set out product trials, package compatibility checks, process validation responsibilities and the records required at handover. Include startup, planned stops, product changes and cleaning in the operating discussion, alongside the capacity calculation.
